Forest Administration Department
Forest is a major Department of the Khasi Hills ADC as it controls and manages over 96% of the forest areas in the Khasi Hills except the Reserved Forests under the State. The Forest Organization of the District Council is headed by the Chief Forest Officer, one Additional C.F.O, 3 Deputy C.F.Os, 5 Assistant C.F.Os, 6 Range Officers, 8 Deputy Rangers, 18 Foresters, 25, Assistant Foresters and 45 Forest Guards.
